Editors Guild of Ethiopia (EGE) has urged for the government`s continued reaffirmation and commitment towards evaluation and execution of media reform frameworks and action points. On June 15, 2015; EGE organized the first round of a panel discussion on ‘The State of Media Regulatory Reforms in Ethiopia’ inside the studio of the state broadcaster, Ethiopian Television (ETV).

At the panel, a synopsis of the draft assessment conducted by Abdissa Zeray (PhD) under the title, ‘The State of Media Reforms in Ethiopia’ was presented to media educators, experts, media professionals, advocates of free press and media stakeholders in attendance. Participants of the panel discussed on the dividends and challenges encountered through the media regulatory reform process in Ethiopia since 2021.
